Welcome to Kala Aangan

My connection with dance is woven into the fabric of my earliest memories. It has been a constant source of immense joy, enrichment and discovery.

My initial tryst with dance commenced at the age of three when I felt an undeniable connection to the art form. Attending my first dance class was a critical juncture in my training for it was there that I discovered my passion for movement, rhythm and expression.

Bharatanatyam has allowed me to communicate my emotions and tell stories without words. It is  a language of its own that transcends boundaries.

My journey with dance

I began training in Odissis (Indian Classical Dance) at the age of 4. At the age of 8 I began training in Bharatanatyam (Indian Classical Dance). I currently train in jazz, contemporary and ballet  along with Bharatanatyam at the Shree Pavitra Arts Academy.

Over the years I have been a part of numerous shows at several venues including the Bhajana Samaj Temple, the Bandra Cultural Utsav, the NCPA and the Institute of Classical and Modern Dances Showcases at the G5A foundation.

I have also attended summer intensives at Trinity Laban and Boston Conservatory at the Berkeley School of Music and recently placed 3rd in the "Senior Modern Ballet" category at the Great Indian Ballet Competition.
